Treehouse progress
The treehouse now has a front - the ironwork from a flyscreen door that Scott found dumped - and some footholds to climb up the tree. Apart from the floor, it has all been made from wood we've found. The beams are all from the Chinese medicine centre that is being renovated round the corner. We've now collected some old fencing and a couple of doors to do the sides and back. More to report next weekend. It was too hot yesterday (46!) to do any more.
Holiday
Here are the kids enjoying a lazy morning reading to each other. This is the holiday house we rented at Woolamai with friends Imogen, Carlos and Ezra (reading next to Daisy below) and Pascal (on the end next to Daisy). It was lovely. Very quiet and peaceful but still close to the beach.

Leisurely lunch out
and picnic in the garden.
The beach was a holiday highlight. Daisy and Ezra dug an enormous hole..
... and everyone enjoyed the boat.

This huge oak tree was right behind the house in the grounds of a disused small primary school.

Bouncing
Here is the video I have been trying to upload since Christmas day. It's all working now, thanks to the swanky new laptop.

Holiday activity
I bought some masks before Christmas for a holiday activity. They both enjoyed it, but as always it was over far too quickly. As you can see from Hugo's finished mask below, here he is putting on the finishing touches. Fortunately, Daisy's took longer and Hugo was happy to do playdough while she painted.
