Skiing holiday

Just back from a week skiing at Falls Creek. The snow was pretty good on the runs that were open but a lot of the runs were closed. We had lots of lovely sunny weather, and one day skiing in drizzle!
The children did 4 days of ski school. Daisy and her friend Edie has lessons together. They can now both ski with the adults - there's a video in the next post. Hugo did really well and learnt to walk around in his skis, do snow ploughs and stop.
He liked the lifts most. He was telling me what we should tell his kinder about his holiday. "Tell them I went on a skiing holiday and I fell over more than I thought I would". Very cute.

Scott and Matt took Daisy and Edie out night skiing - very exciting. Daisy is in red and Edie is in blue and pink.

Shops

Daisy created a shop with all the play food for me and Hugo to shop at. She arranged it all very carefully. Note it is on our new sideboard. We've been looking for ages for one like this. Most have doors that open out but we wanted sliding doors. We finally found this one at our local 20th century furniture shop.

New house at last

We've finally bought our UK house. After a year spent trying to buy the first one and failing, we got this one.

Not a very big back garden but there are two parks nearby.

and a great laneway along the back for adventures and cubby houses.
